St Pancras Old Church , St Pancras Road , London, London, NW1 1UL, United Kingdom.

A lecture by Thomas Woodcock, C.V.O., D.L., F.S.A.
Garter King of Arms

In 1416, the first Garter King of Arms - Sir William Bruges - entertained the Holy Roman Emperor Sigismund at a banquet at his home on St Pancras Way. Their procession passed by St Pancras Old Church, and it is more than likely that they stopped in this Holy Place to pray.

On this, the six-hundredth anniversary of this auspicious visit, we are privileged to welcome the current Garter King of Arms as our speaker on the Heraldry of St Pancras Old Church.

Bar opens from 6.30. Lecture begins at 7pm.

Believed to have been established in the 4th century AD on the site of a Roman temple, today the building of the church is in constant need of funds for up-keep. Please help us save this unique and historic building by supporting our Church Building Maintenance Fund. Be part of our future by helping us preserve our past.
