Motorola Mobility, 222 W Merchandise Mart Plaza, Chicago , IL, 60654, United States.

Join us at Motorola Mobility in the Merchandise Mart, for a night of great food, drinks, live music and passionate stories of girls building their futures with bravery. After our first year of running BraveCamps we want to share with you our journey, the mission and a chance to invest in the youth of Chicago.

By attending this event you will be enabling our organization to run more camps at little to no cost for the participants. This increases opportunities for students who cannot afford typical programs like this and ideally will create more economic diversity in the tech world! We hope by introducing these young women to the possibilities of technology, they will be empowered to create and pursue new and bigger dreams for themselves.

Help us be and build bravery.

Brave Initiatives is on a mission to empower high school girls to see themselves as agents of change in their communities through design thinking strategy and coding. To do so we run 5-day BraveCamps where girls work on meaningful issues in their communities by addressing the roots of the issues. Each student participates on a coach-led team to think critically about the issue, develop a strategic action plan and then build a website with code to solve or bring relief to that issue. It is our mission to bring our camp to underserved communities in Chicago to give young girls opportunities to learn skills they may not otherwise have access to. We empower our girls and to change their mindset about what technology is capable of and, more importantly, what they are capable of. Help us bring this opportunity to more communities and more girls!
