The mission of VASCUPP is to recognize and use effectively the common procurement principals, knowledge, experience, challenges, support and resources of all decentralized higher education member institutions. To be a united group with common goals of addressing the complexities of the Commonwealth of Virginia procurement processes. Through ongoing cooperation and cohesion, better the ability of each individual member institution to effectively provide efficient and responsive customer service in facilitating the purchase of goods and services for their Institution. Support diversified vendor advocacy to enhance the capability of each member institution in seeking open competition for the highest valued products and services. Raymond Brown is a passionate and dynamic speaker, facilitator and consultant who aims to engage, equip and empower others for their personal and organizational success. Raymond has spent the last decade helping to build leaders and teams in Higher Education, Health Care, Collegiate Athletics, Small Business and Religious Groups.

Patricia Frame is an experienced human resources executive and management consultant. Known for her ability to address organizational goals and issues effectively and to create processes which help companies thrive, she founded Strategies for Human Resources to help small organizations achieve their goals. She began her career in the United States Air Force and holds an MBA from The Wharton School.
Jennifer E. Goldman is an established community relations specialist, George Mason University School of Management graduate, and certified nonprofit manager. None of which will matter when she's dead. She considers the important stuff to include having raised two intelligent and thoughtful young men, fiercely maintaining close relationships with friends, allowing the fluffiest neighborhood cat to adopt her, and making a positive difference in nonprofits, businesses and her community.
Rita McClenny serves as president and CEO of the Virginia Tourism Corporation, a state agency charged with marketing the Commonwealth as a premier travel destination and film location. The mission of VTC is to expand domestic and international in-bound travel and motion picture production to generate revenue and employment in Virginia. Ms. McClenny’s professional background also includes a career at Lockheed Aeronautical as a buyer and procurement officer.
Mesha holds a BA in Communications and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with 25+ years of internal and external consulting experience within the HR and Marketing disciplines. Mesha has worked for General Motors, DuPont, Time Warner, Verizon as well as on Capital Hill as a Public Relations lead. During her tenure at Verizon, Mesha received two Verizon Excellence awards this top honor is bestowed on only 10% of the workforce.
Diane Ober has had a 40-year career in a variety of fields, beginning as a social worker in community-based corrections, and as a learning development specialist with the Center for Leadership Excellence at the University of Virginia. Her passion in creating curricula and effective facilitation around diversity issues grows from her dedication to learning about white privilege and systemic racism with the goal of improving our institutional and cultural environments.
Tyra Oldham is the founder of LANDSDS, a sustainable development company, and HUMASYST, leading the way in solving human problems. She holds a PhD, MBA and Bachelor of Science degrees, as well as certificates in Women’s Studies, International Business in Russia, and Racial Reconciliation from Harvard. She advises on technology interface, human dynamics, idea generation, organizational development, talent sourcing and diversity for top 500 corporations, non-profits, small businesses, and more.
Faran Saeed serves as the Director of Community Engagement at Madison House, which serves as the volunteer center for the students of the University of Virginia. He oversees over 4000 students who volunteer at over 200 community partners in the Charlottesville/Albemarle County. His research interests include race & equity, college Muslim identity development, and service-learning.
Doug and Polly White own several businesses including Gather, Richmond’s premier coworking spaces. They currently have three locations that provide collaborative and creative workspace to more than 500 businesses in Richmond. Doug and Polly are currently scaling Gather and plan to open four new locations in 2019.
Kristen Reese is the manager of Digital Communications at Dominion Energy. She oversees communications strategy and planning for the company’s digital channels – dominionenergy.com, email marketing, plus the 20 social media sites Dominion Energy owns and operates. Kristen manages all content marketing plus provides editorial and creative direction for communications campaigns related to key company issues, brand reputation and customer communications, as well as audience targeting and reporting.
