Come along to an awesome day of relaxation where you will learn how to make your own hand carved wooden spoon straight from a tree. It's all about the here and the now; just you, the wood, a simple knife and an emerging spoon: Spoonfulness!

You will learn how to safely carve your own beautiful spoon using just a small axe and a couple of knives. All tools and materials will be provided, and so will a simple morning tea.

This workshop is set in the beautiful suppounds of the Australian National Botanic Gardens in Canberra.

Join us for a day of happy slowness :)

For people aged 16 and over.

Jeff Donne is one of Australia's best known spoon carvers with many years of carving and teaching under his belt. He teaches the traditional method of spoon carving where a small axe and a sharp knife are used to slice away layers of wood from a freshly cut log. It's pure analogue bliss!
