If you’re planning to attend the Society of Toxicology conference in Baltimore this March, please join the Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT, http://caat.jhsph.edu) for our satellite meeting on Regulatory Acceptance of Read-Across. Read-across is the most common alternative to animal testing, and as both available datasets and improved read-across science allow greater confidence, it becomes increasingly important to ensure its straightforward regulatory acceptance. This meeting will feature speakers from multiple agencies/regulatory regimes offering their practical perspectives and ideas to make regulatory acceptance more transparent.
The satellite meeting provides an informal setting in which interested stakeholders can update each other on these important topics, and will feature a number of invited presentations but also leave time for an “open microphone” segment in which participants are welcome to give brief presentations on germane topics, with or without a few slides.
