THE INTIMACY OF MARRIAGE
Our recently developed Intimacy of Marriage series helps couples reclaim, nurture, and protect their marital friendship, love, and passion by unlocking the five pillars of intimacy: Intellectual, Emotional, Spiritual, Sensual, and Sexual Intimacy.
Each of the five sessions in this series are derived from the divine love story recorded in the Song of Solomon. In addition, couples will benefit from the memorable learning activities and the much desired one-on-one time to engage in meaningful conversation that will ultimately help to enrich their marriage beyond imagination.
Session 1: Intellectual Intimacy
In this session, couples will understand, appreciate, and celebrate the unique personality of their relationship, which includes influential aspects of gender and family of origin.
Session 2: Emotional Intimacy
This session provides couples with an opportunity to level set their marital expectations, learn how to cope with stress, and discover their love language as they learn to protect, grow and nurture safety in their marital friendship.
Session 3: Spiritual Intimacy
Couples in this session will learn how to stay connected through faith in Christ as they tune their relationship to one accord by making prayer more conversational.
Session 4: Sensual Intimacy
Things start heating up as we introduce the fine arts of kissing, talking, and non-sexual touching. Couples will learn more effective and creative ways to initiate romantic date nights and unlock the sensual intimacy in their marriage.
Session 5: Sexual Intimacy
In this session, we explore the dance of initiating and responding in the bedroom. Couples discover biblical ways to overcome rejection, apathy, and indifference.
