For over a decade, Taji Marie and Melanie Barsuk have taught cooking classes aimed at helping home cooks gain kitchen confidence. As their commitment to their own health and wellness evolved, so too have their classes. These days you can find them in person and online sharing their favorite recipes and real-life strategies for cooking delicious, balanced meals at home. While class topics range widely, Taji and Melanie always focus on whole grains, unrefined sugars and getting more vegetables on your plate. As co-owners of The Simple Gourmet Kitchen, a Los Angeles based catering company specializing in feeding professional athletes, they work with LA Kings, The LA Rams, The Clippers, LA Galaxy, NFL Combine, USTA, US Olympic Women’s Cycling Team and visiting athletes from around the world.
