PERSONAL EXPERIENCE OF BIG NEW VENTURES AT HEATHROW:
OPERATIONAL READINESS OF T2, T5 & LONDON 2012

ANDY GARNER

BAGGAGE OPERATIONS DIRECTOR, HEATHROW AIRPORT LTD.

PROGRAMME INTRO

In the RAeS Heathrow Branch November lecture, Andy Garner will speak about his experiences being involved in a number of Heathrow’s big new ventures in recent years. The highs, lows, blood, sweat and tears of firing up Terminal 5 and Terminal 2, providing a world class welcome and goodbye for the greatest show on earth when the Olympics and Paralympics came to town in 2012 and driving consistent and reliable performance into Heathrow’s newest baggage system in Terminal 3. Andy will share his adventures and leave the audience with his thoughts on the ingredients that lead to success.

NOTE FOR REGISTRATION

Thanks for registering your attendance via our Eventzilla site.

We have streamlined our event registration process by introducing online booking platform as an alternative to email and telephone registeration for our lectures/events, as well as developing a way of tracking numbers on any lectures/events that may be oversubscribed.

When you book, please select the relevant ticket option, and the number of tickets you would like. The tickets will be automatically emailed to you, as there is currently no option for us to produce a ticket at the door.

The application asks for both registration and attendee details - even if there is only one person on the booking, you must fill in all fields. If you are reserving more than one ticket please ensure you enter the name of all attendees so they are reflected on the attendee list.

If there is any problem incurred during the registration process, or if there's anything we can improve on this tool, please contact the Branch Secretary –

If you can no longer attend the event, please email us asap, so we can release the ticket for someone else!

Royal Aeronautical Society Heathrow Branch

https://RAeSLHR.wordpress.com

The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) Heathrow Branch was formed from the combined London Airport Branches of SLAET (founded in 1950) and RAeS (founded in 1955). The Branch membership principally covers Middlesex, although regular attendees also travel from neighbouring counties and from central London. The Branch meets regularly at British Airways Waterside and all members and non-members will receive a warm welcome!
