Navigating the Regulatory Complexities of New Markets

Tuesday, July 31 from 1-2pm in Alumni Center, Columbus Place, 6th Floor

Higher education must be prepared to meet differing expectations when entering new markets, both domestic and foreign. The Office of the General Counsel seeks to enhance the University’s early stage decision making in pursuit of opportunities by examining the legal and regulatory complexities that can impact the University’s ability to deploy its key differentiators – experiential, mobile, on-demand – across the globe.

This seminar will provide an overview of the ways in which higher education institutions are regulated in states, provinces, and countries where Northeastern is present or seeks to establish a presence, including an analysis of cases involving and impacting students, colleges, faculty, and staff engaging across a diverse range of initiatives. This seminar is appropriate for those engaged in the University’s regional and global opportunities and/or planning international programs, events and/or activities.

*Feel free to bring your lunch to this event.
