JEN SHULTZ

How to Build (and STAY in!) your Business as a Non-Nine-to-Fiver

Are you 110% consistent and committed to your business?

Are you a procrastinator or perfectionist?

Do you ever worry you might have to go back to the 9-5?

Jen Shultz, Coach/Mentor for "Non-Nine-to-Fivers" will share her four step process ALL business owners need to truly stay with the business building process and never go back to the 9-5!

In 2010 Jen Shultz escaped the 9-5 and leapt into the world of entrepreneurship. Before then she spent years "job-hopping" trying to find her purpose in the world. Once on her own (and without a steady paycheck), she honed in on her natural, intuitive talents and strengths and started her first business, Teacher on the Go - teaching elementary aged students on her own terms, outside of the traditional classroom setting. Today, Jen mentors and coaches "Non-Nine-to-Fivers” how to stay with the business building process using exceptionally deep, rich, and "non-traditional" business building concepts and teachings, that lead Non-Nine-to-Fivers to sustainable and successful business growth.

LIFT UP!  MENTORING OUR SISTERS

During the course of the night we are going to participate in Lift Up! There will be a board where you can share a need; for example, maybe you need help understanding Facebook Advertising, or maybe you want to be connected with the head of a certain company. Please place your requests on this board, and peruse the board to see if there's something you can help out with. If you see one you can help with, tack your business card to it. That's a promise for a 30 minute phone call to Lift Up this other woman and help her get what she needs. (Note this is mentoring free of charge, not a sales opportunity.)

ABOUT GIRLSTART

The world’s greatest challenges need new STEM ideas and insights. Half of the world’s potential ideamakers—women and girls—are discouraged from developing their ideas because of social bias or inequity. More girls with more ideas create more solutions.

Girlstart’s mission is to solve this. We increase girls’ interest and engagement in STEM through innovative, nationally-recognized informal STEM education programs. By empowering more girls to continue STEM studies, we can help address our nation’s STEM workforce inequities and impact innovation and economic development in America and across the globe. To accomplish our mission, Girlstart develops and implements a range of innovative, research- and standards-based education and mentorship programs designed to promote girls’ early engagement and academic success in STEM, encourage girls' aspirations and persistence in STEM education and careers, and incubate a talented and diverse STEM workforce.

Girlstart cultivates a culture where risk is rewarded, curiosity is encouraged, and creativity is expected. As a result, Girlstart girls are connected, brave, and resilient. Girlstart makes girls more successful, and inspires them to take on the world’s greatest challenges.

ABOUT GEN - GIRLS EMPOWERMENT NETWORK

Originally called The Ophelia Project, the Girls Empowerment Network (GEN) was created in 1996 by 12 concerned mothers raising adolescent girls in Austin, Texas. These mothers met after reading Reviving Ophelia, a book by Dr. Mary Pipher, to address an increasing trend among middle school aged girls – a systematic decline and sometimes permanent loss of self-esteem, the outcome of which can be devastating: epidemic levels of anorexia/bulimia, self-mutilation, depression, low academic achievement, teen pregnancy, and drug abuse.
