NAMI Texas 2017 Annual Conference
NAMI Texas, the state organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is a grassroots education, support and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of all people who are affected by mental illness. Our vision is to ensure acceptance of and treatment for all those with mental illness to facilitate recovery. With a network of over 2,000 members and 30 local affiliates in Texas, we work every day to offer help and hope to individuals and families across the state of Texas.
Our theme this year, “The Power of Connection,” focuses on the ways we can connect people, ideas, resources, and support. As we continue to move towards a recovery-based model of treatment and services for persons with mental illness, NAMI Texas is reaching out to share recovery focused ideas, methods, education, support and inspiration with a focus on the physical, mental and spiritual components of recovery. Together we can grow into communities of health and offer the best care possible for ourselves and the persons we serve.
