Class Description

Have you always wanted to draw but found the process intimidating? In this educational yet judgement-free class, we will break down the drawing process into basic building blocks so you can begin communicating your ideas. We will start with a review of supplies, then we will move on to explore lines, shapes, shading, and textures. By the end of the 4 hours, you will go home with renewed confidence in your ability to draw what you see. You might even make some new friends too!

About the Instructor

Elizabeth has been a professional artist for 30+ years. After formal training at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, she began her career in graphic design and advertising and she now focuses on drawing, painting, photography and teaching. She has been teaching for about 9 years and her students have included children and seniors. Her favorite mediums are watercolor, pastel, acrylic and charcoal.  Elizabeth painted the bear that stands at the 9th street entrance to the Art Museum and is created two of the five bisons that are featured around town for this year's bicentennial.
