INTERMEDIATE PHOTOGRAPHY- The Next Steps
"Good photographs don’t just happen; they are created!"
ABOUT THE CLASS
Prequisite: Fundamentals of Photography (or equivalent)
Now that you understand the fundamentals of photography and the concepts of Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO, it's time to take the next step! Learn how to apply these concepts and use additional settings in your digital camera to create beautiful and artistic images.
Since the class will be a hands-on class, each student must bring a working DSLR camera. Point-and-shoot camera users will find many of the topics in the class to not be applicable to their cameras. You should browse your notes from previous classes and review your owner's manual to refresh yourself on the basics.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Rick Frank
"The only thing that is constant is change" - Heraclitus. Photography allows us to ignore that change for a moment, and capture a thought, an idea, a certain look or a view. A photo can expose the honest image of what we see, as we see it, or it can represent what we imagine or wish for.
In spite of quoting a Greek philosopher, I try not to take myself too seriously. I'm a guy with a camera. I love photography, I love capturing the beauty and form of what's in front of me...and I love sharing that with anyone who's interested. I enjoy running, hiking, food and of course my wonderful family. Just a few of the areas I work in are:
- Fitness/Sports Modeling
- Event Photography
- Product Marketing
- Conceptual Photography
