CrossFit SPEED – HELLS PLAYGROUND (same sex pairs) Competition
This is a SAME SEX PAIRS (2 x Male or 2 x Female) competition consisting of 4 WODs to be performed on Saturday the 4th of February 2017.

CrossFit SPEED – HELS PLAYGROUND same sex pairs competition is an event for RX, Intermediate and Scaled athletes to test their skills.

These standards are no indication of intended work outs. They are only to be used as a guideline when determining decisions when registering.
BEGINNER - Sound knowledge and competency of the basic lifts - Deadlift, Power Clean, Push Press, Sumo Deadlift High Pull etc. at a maximum 30kg (depending on the movement). Ring rows and knee raises, step ups and basic Kettlebells. No pull ups, no TTB, no overly heavy weights!

Wall Balls 10ft (lighter weight)
INTERMEDIATE - Good knowledge of all basic CrossFit movements, Ability to complete some benchmark workouts RX but maybe not all. Will need to be able to complete pull ups and TTB and box jumps, plus hit a 10-foot wall ball target. In general, a solid athlete who is maybe just not able to perform the more technical movements such as muscle ups, pistols, hand stand walks etc.

RX - Excellent knowledge and competency through all CrossFit movements. Prepared (and able) to take on the more technical movements and heavier weights. Can complete all Benchmark and most Hero WODS as prescribed.

All movements and standards will be outlined. Each WOD offers different levels of movement and/or weight. The competitor will choose at registration which level to complete the workout. This rewards strengths, exposes weaknesses and enables everyone to compete at a level which is challenging for them.
The main workouts will be announced the day before the competition date with a full description available for each movement and its required standard.

Waivers: Waivers will be emailed for completion prior to event.

additional information for the day..
There will be a warm-up area for your convenience. There will be equipment for you to use during your warm-up, but if you have specific warm-up needs, you will need to bring those items with you.
Our parking lot is going to be reserved for vendors and utilized for the WOD’s and a warm-up area throughout the day so you will be unable to park in the venue. There is plenty of parking on Flinders Parade.
You are welcome to bring as many spectators with you as you would like and we will have room for you to set up tents, chairs, tables, etc. for your convenience. During the competition inside the building will be reserved for athletes and spectators only, so your belongings will need to be placed outside.
We will have a couple of options of food vendors and coffee on site, to supply you throughout the day.
