This workshop is part of LCI’s Strategic Planning Workshop Series.

Framing a Theory of Action to plan for success (10/18/17)

What, precisely, do we want to accomplish? To what end?
How do we know if we’re taking the right actions to support our goals?
How do we want to affect others?

Writing down goals is straightforward; ensuring that these goals are representative of what your organization is seeking to achieve or are worth pursuing is another matter. Workshop participants will:
  • Articulate, review, and refine a theory of action;
  • Use their theory of action as a compass for articulating goals, communicating to others and evaluating impact;
  • Identify outcomes and indicators in support of their goals;
  • Generate evaluation questions to assess progress and impact.
Participants should bring any existing documentation related to their organizational vision, mission and/or goals to use as resources for the day’s work.
