Foundation Safety & Rescue Training Course (FSRT)

This course is ideal for anyone who wishes to consolidate their rescue skills, learn essential rescue techniques and work towards becoming an independent paddler. It covers equipment, paddling safely, different rescue techniques for different situations and supporting paddlers who have become incapacitated or injured.

This course is a pre-requisite for the Level 1 Coach Award and anyone wanting to do a Level 1 coaching course in the future would be advised to do this course now (in the warm weather!). Attendees should be at roughly 2 star standard and able to paddle both a canoe and kayak.
