At our next FilmLab event you have the opportunity to receive advice and improve upon your script before applying to the UK Jewish Film 2018 Pears Short Film Fund.
 
FilmLab 9 will take place on Monday 11th December 2017 at 7pm.
 
At the event you will be able to discuss your ideas, one-to-one, with a screenwriter and/or film advisor. The meetings will be ten minutes each. You will need to bring a written treatment of your story and be well prepared.
 
If you would like to discuss your story, please email us your name, the name of your project and a one-page treatment by Wednesday 6th December at 2pm.
 
Please note: The treatment you will bring to your FilmLab 9 meeting can be an improved version of the one you will send to us by mail.
 
FilmLab 9 is produced in association with MetFilm School.

The 2018 Pears Short Film Fund at UK Jewish Film 
Every year two grants of £10,000 are available for the production of a short film – drama, animation or documentary – with a theme of significance to both Jewish and general audiences. Suggested themes are interfaith, assimilation, integration, asylum seekers and issues that connect with Jewish life, history or cultures worldwide. Maximum length: 10 minutes.

The judging panel is drawn from experienced professionals from the British film and television industry. The scheme is open to all filmmakers who are residents of the UK.

The deadline is the 8th of January 2018.
