About the Events

The Fabulous Aging: Engage. Educate. Energize! Conference Planning Committee is pleased to have you join us at this year's event.

Keynote presentation: by Imani Rupert-Gordon, Executive Director of Affinity Community Services.

Our Mistress of Ceremonies, Aleksa Manila, will deftly introduce us and guide us through our day's activities with infinite pose and grace.

Our box lunches, sponsored by DUOS catering, again, this year, were a big hit last year. As part of your registration, you will choose from 3 different scrumptious, luscious options. And you're in for an afternoon treat...cupcakes when you turn in your conference evaluations.

The fun will continue during our lunch break with Rainbow Bingo ala West Seattle Senior Center-style hosted by drag hostess, Sylvia O'Stayformore

There will be a series of six 90-minute workshops repeated 3 times throughout the day.

Sponsors, vendors and resources will be set up all day for visits, questions and possibly some answers. Make sure to stay for the full day, many of our sponsors and vendors have donated raffle items, but you must be present to win.

Continuing education credits (CEUs): available for Long-Term Care workers through DSHS for attendance-8 CEUs.

Accomodations for people with disabilities: The conference site is wheelchair accessible. If you need reasonable accommodations (such as special seating or a listening device), contact Patty.McDonald@dshs.wa.gov by email and indicate what type of assistance you need.  Please send email by September 15th. Conference staff will call you and help make necessary arrangements.
