Conference

On Friday April 6th, we invite you to join us for an afternoon and evening of conversation, connection, and change. Our 2018 conference has two major components, workshops and a climate art experience. Workshops cover a variety of topics ranging from nuclear energy to environmental justice, and all result in some direct action.

The climate art experience utilizes art and food to convey climate science in an intimate and tangible way. We see this an opportunity to bring together groups that may not regularly interact, as well as a chance to reinvigorate and inspire climate action. Consistent with the theme of action, we will be selling art and taking donations to raise funds for action mini-grants that will support local climate related initiatives that would otherwise go unfunded.

Fundraising

Money raised from registration, donations, and through art sales will be distributed through action mini-grants that are selected by Earth Action Initiative’s planning committee. A call for proposals will be put up on the website shortly after April 6th. We acknowledge the fact that finding funding for local climate justice and sustainability efforts can be difficult and at times non existent. Earth Action Initiative seeks to provide more opportunities for passionate innovators to execute their visions.
