Rolls-Royce is the world’s second-largest maker of aircraft engines and has major businesses in the marine propulsion and energy sectors; it pioneers cutting-edge technologies that deliver the cleanest, safest and most competitive solutions to meet the planet’s vital power needs.
In December 2017, Rolls-Royce launched R2 Data Labs - an acceleration hub for data innovation, using advanced data analytics, industrial artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques. The lab has mixed discipline teams of data experts in’ data innovation cells’ working in collaboration with other teams across Rolls-Royce to explore data, unlock and test new ideas and turn them into new services for customers.
In this lecture, the guest speaker will be taking the myth out of Artificial Intelligence in aerospace. He will share some of the work Rolls-Royce has done in this field and more importantly share the journey in getting to this stage and where the future is going. The speaker will also feature the major role engineers have played in this journey and why engineering is important in the success of Artificial Intelligence in aerospace industry.

We have streamlined our event registration process by introducing online booking platform as an alternative to email and telephone registeration for our lectures/events, as well as developing a way of tracking numbers on any lectures/events that may be oversubscribed.
When you book, please select the relevant ticket option, and the number of tickets you would like. The booking confirmation will be automatically emailed to you, and that there is currently no option for us to admit last minute registration at the door.
The application asks for both registration and attendee details - even if there is only one person on the booking, you must fill in all fields. If you are reserving more than one ticket please ensure you enter the name of all attendees so they are reflected on the attendee list.
