This workshop is part of LCI's Strategic Workshop Series
Designing measures to assess our impact (1/11/18)
What questions should we ask to gather the specific data that we seek?
How should we best reach our respondents?
How do we organize, analyze and use the data we collect?
In this session, participants will tease out the best way to gather useful evidence of impact and effectiveness by:
- Exploring a variety of instruments including surveys, interviews and observation protocols;
- Designing a survey or interview protocol;
- Identifying a purposeful sample of respondents;
- Planning a pilot;
- Determining how to collect, analyze, use and apply the information collected.
Participants should bring any existing documentation related to their Theory of Action, organizational vision, mission and/or goals, as well as any program evaluation work to use as resources for the day’s work.
