DM was founded in France in 2014 by a team of orthodontists and engineers who aim to promote continuous monitoring in dental care. Built upon cutting-edge science and artificial intelligence, DM is a customizable platform for communication and clinical analysis. DM’s ambition is to make breakthrough technology accessible, and serve the needs of dental professionals the world over.
Philippe Salah graduated from École Polytechnique in Paris, France, with a Ph.D. in Biophysics. He fell in love with orthodontics while building Harmony, a company that made custom lingual treatments with a fully digital workflow. By 2014, Philippe had already realized that AI was the next frontier in medical care, so he teamed engineers and orthodontists up and created Dental Monitoring, the world’s first AI-based system for treatment monitoring, practice management, and patient communication.
Dr Terry Sellke opened his orthodontic specialty practice in 1974. He and his partner, Don Reily, have offices in Antioch, Grayslake and Gurnee, Illinois. Dr. Sellke relentlessly incorporates new technologies and systems enhancements that allows the practice to achieve exceptional results in shorter appointments, fewer appointments, and fewer months in treatment while running on time-every moment of every day. The result is a stress-free environment that is fun to go to day after day.
Dr Semaan obtained his Dental degree from Sydney University, Australia, and his Master of Dental Science in Orthodontics degree at the University of Western Australia. He then obtained a Postgraduate Diploma of Business at Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia during which time he started him up his own business, Clear Smiles Orthodontics. Dr Semaan and his team use clear aligners to treat almost 90% of their patients and start over 700 new clear aligner cases each year.
Dr Olsburgh graduated from the USC in 2003 with a Certificate in orthodontics and a Masters in craniofacial biology. His research on root resorption was awarded the Thomas Graber Award of Special Merit by the AAO. He currently maintains a private practice in orthodontics in Lausanne (CH). In 2016, he was one of the first orthodontists to use DM to monitor patients with fixed appliance. Today, Dr Olsburgh is a consultant in R&D for DM and lectures internationally on the topic.
Dr Coyne studied dentistry at the University of Queensland and is a 1998 University of Melbourne Alumnus. On graduation she joined her father’s practice in Cairns and now runs three practices in Regional Far North Queensland. From a family of specialists and teachers; she takes special interest in all forms of education, technology and professional development and is dedicated to being the best she can be. She has presented widely on a range of topics both inside and outside of orthodontics.
Dr Galante is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where she received both her dental degree and her specialty certification in Orthodontics. Dr Galante has been practicing in private practice for over 32 years. She and her husband, fellow orthodontist, own 3 orthodontic specialty offices in Northern California. Dr. Galante has been a TOP 1 % Elite Provider since 2010, is currently a Diamond Plus Provider and has treated over 2600 cases with Invisalign to date.
Nick started out as a CPA in Boston, MA before moving back to Australia to cofound GrowDental. He then focused on growing a network of specialist orthodontists called The Invisible Orthodontist. As the CEO of TIO, he gained and shared a considerable expertise in the marketing and management of orthodontic practices. He's now preparing to launch SmileMate, a startup that promises to change the way dentists and orthodontic specialists work together.
