ABOUT YOUR GUIDES
Sarah Hemphill - Yoga / Earth Medicine / Tour Guide & Organizer
Owner of Sarah’s Yoga Distillery, LLC Sarah’s mantra is: be you the inflexible, the uber-athlete, the out-of-shape, the beginner, the seasoned yogi, the young, the old – yoga is accessible to anyone. Sarah’s lifetime is a mixed tape that includes 30+ years of professional dance training, a Philosophy degree, an MBA from Wake Forest University and 10+ years of yoga training.
She is an RYT 200 yoga teacher, certified through Matt and Holly Krepps at Circle Yoga Shala. Sarah’s also learned from many dance teachers, including those at the NC School of the Arts and Dance Place in Washington, DC. She has taught dance and yoga to students of all ages. And has simultaneously created many a corporate strategy deck.
Most recently, in seeking to yet further expand knowledge of the gifts of the universe, Sarah became a student of modern day medicine woman, Robbie Warren Hill, Otter Woman Standing.
She remains in awe of the infinite paths we’ve been gifted to distill towards self-love, healing, divine compassion and joy. She wholeheartedly accepts the calling to always seek a diversity of ways to connect and share these pathways with as many as possible.
A lover of travel (who isn’t really?) and now frequenter to Costa Rica, Sarah is honored and thrilled to be joined by her teachers in this adventure…
Holly Krepps - Co-owner, Circle Yoga Shala and Master Yoga Instructor
Holly has been a practitioner of Yoga, including its sister science of Ayurveda, for over two decades. She’s been developing individuals in their understanding of Yoga, along with her husband, Matthew, for the last sixteen years. They offer training programs at the 500HR level in recognition of the National Yoga Alliance and is in process of completing their 1000 hour program to be accredited by the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Owners of Arkansas' premier yoga studio for over 9 years in Little Rock, AR., in 2009 she co-founded Circle Yoga Shala, a Center for Contemplation in Action, Yoga Advancement, and Creative Emergence located in the Foothills of the Ozarks of Arkansas. She’d envisioned a center that supported others in their conscious evolution through immersion in nature, community and practice for many years before the Shala came to fruition.
Holly describes herself as a Jnana (clear-seeing) and Bhakti (Devotion) Yogini. Jnana is the yoga of true knowledge and is a practice of inquiry into the nature of one's true self, asking the question, "Who am I?" It is based on the philosophy of non-dual wisdom and is at the heart of the Yoga tradition.
She says, "if a way of 'being' has culminated or been reinforced from all of the above, it is that of surrender. Surrender to the divine, and to what is happening in each moment, maintaining a felt connection to Self which is the opposite of getting lost in mechanical action as the basis for joy and peace in the midst of this beautiful play of MA(ya)."
Holly leads a full and content life that is a result of fearless sensitive living and radical acceptance of what is.
