Wednesday, 12 September 2018 4:45 PM - 8:30 PM EST

The University Center (UCB 202), 805 Campus Drive, Big Rapids, Michigan, 49307, United States.

The event will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 4:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It is the third annual event hosted by the College of Business' Committee on Inclusion at Ferris State University. Our committee believes that personal exposure to successful business men and women will bring a richer understanding of the far-reaching impact of diversity. At some point, our students or graduates will encounter diversity in both their personal and professional lives. It is our committee's mission to provide as many opportunities as possible to prepare our students for that world.

The title of this year's event is: The Glass Ceiling - Imaginary or Not? The student-centric event will be a conversation between our speakers sharing diversity and inclusion experiences. Students will have the opportunity to submit questions to the event moderator, who in turn will present them to the speakers for their consideration. We intend for this to be an enlightening experience for our students.

The Committee on Inclusion is guided by the following mission statement: "The committee on inclusion of the College of Business will serve as a focal point for faculty to ensure that the entire community of the College of Business builds a foundation where diversity of culture, thought and expression are valued, respected and cultivated. We will serve as a resource for our college community by providing information, advocacy, coordination and support for diversity-related events, activities and initiatives."
