Since FamilyCare announced that it will be closing its doors on January 31, there have been many questions from patients and providers alike. As this important transition takes place, our safety-net health clinics continue to provide continuity of care for the 70,000 primarily uninsured and Medicaid patients served annually through our regional coalition of clinics.

Join us for a panel discussion with Eric Hunter from CareOregon and Maggie Bennington-Davis, MD from HealthShare of Oregon about the FamilyCare transition. We will be examining potential successes, challenges, and opportunities. We look forward to hearing what YOU think is most relevant for our safety-net community and our patients.

Coalition of Community Health Clinics

The Coalition of Community Health Clinics (CCHC) is a network of 15 community clinics working together to improve healthcare for vulnerable populations residing in the Portland region. We achieve this mission by strengthening community health centers, promoting health equity, and fostering collaboration across the safety-net delivery system. Our clinics provide high quality, culturally appropriate healthcare to low-income children and adults who are uninsured, on Medicaid, or under-insured, and to populations struggling with poverty, language barriers, abuse, addictions, homelessness, or mental health issues. Coalition clinics offer primary, preventive, and acute medical services from a broad range of health traditions: allopathic (conventional) medicine, naturopathic, chiropractic, acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
