ICCCAD is hosting a ‘Climate Culture and Art Symposium’ in March 2018 for youthacross the country. The symposium hopes to bring together young people passionate about climate change to learn about how climate change is affecting Bangladeshi cultures, as well as how art and other forms of storytelling can engage the wider public around key climate change issues.

The symposium will be a two and a half day event where participants will both learn about how climate change is impacting culture; how climate change is understood in culture; the ways in which climate change is communicated through different mediums to different audiences; and then partake in artistic productions related to climate change.

The last day of the symposium will be an “art studio” day where participants will choose a specific track, and create an art piece in response to a climate change prompt. These tracks will hopefully include: theatre, painting, music, writing, etc.

Please note that we are not accepting any abstract for this symposium.
