Considered by many the greatest film ever made, Orson Welles' first feature film is highly relevant today.  We will explore what drove this very rich, narcissistic man to want to make the world into how own image ultimately destroying all those around him as well as himself.  

 

Continuing Education Objectives: 

Participants will be able to:

  1. Explore the nature of psychoanalytic investigation.
  2. Explore the roots of narcissism from a psychoanalytic perspective.
  3. Discuss the nature of screen memories and their impact.

Presenters:

 

Ron Goldman, Ed.D has been conducting discussions about Psychology and Film for many years within the context of the Psychology Goes to the Movies series, which he coordinated.  He has a private practice in Brookline, is certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy-- an approach to couples therapy built around John Bowlby’s attachment theory and developed by Sue Johnson.
