Enjoy a visit to the Joseph Manigault House & Gardens, an exquisite antebellum styled house, home to Joseph Manigault during the late 1700's to early 1800's. This home perfectly reflects the urban lifestyle of a wealthy, rice plantation family during the antebellum south. This historic home features a striking spiral staircase and antique American and French furniture. After you explore the home lunch is on your own, but not to fret there are many exquisite dining establishments located in the Old Public Market District which are also adorned with unique shops for you to browse and shop before ending your perfect Charleston day!
