Maximum of 18, Mondays (Oct 3, 17, 24, 31, Nov 7, 14 ). Time 2:00-3:00PM, Cost: $40 Get ready to round the bases, it's time for some kickball! This club will spend the afternoon playing kickball (outside in all but the worst of weather). Instructor: Amy Seldin-Murphy.
Maximum of 12, Mondays (Oct 17, 24, 31, Nov 7, 14, 21 ) Time 2:00-3:00 PM, Cost $50. Learn to paint big beautiful pictures of different styles using different kinds of pain, brushes, and canvases. Be sure to wear or bring older clothes on Mondays as we may get messy. Instructor - Janelle Alvstad-Mattson is an artistic dilettante.
Maximum of 10, Mondays (Oct 17, 24, 31, Nov 7, 14, 21 ) Time: 2:00 - 3:00pm. Cost: $60 Chemistry is fun classes encourages exploration and discovery through hands-on experiments and activities. Children will be introduced to basic science concepts such as prediction, classification and observation. Experiments include: using cabbage juice as an indicator, what is a chemical reaction, mixtures (make your own lava lamp), polymers, chromatography, and more. Instructor Ewa Pillardy is a former high school chemistry teacher.
Maximum of 8. Mondays (Oct 17, 24, 31, Nov 7, 14, 21) Time: 2;00-3:00PM Circus Culture brings all things circus to Caroline Elementary! We'll be doing basic tumbling, partner acrobatics, plate spinning, juggling, hooping, balancing, and more. No experience is necessary to take part.
Maximum of 10. Tuesdays (October 11, 18, 25, November 1, 8, 15). Time 2:00-3:00PM. David Moreland (aka Moreland the Magician) leads this class in which you'll learn how to make magic with both everyday objects and store-bought tricks. You won’t just learn the mechanics of a trick; you’ll learn theatrical techniques to help you perform the trick. You’ll gain confidence performing in front of an audience, build manual dexterity, increase vocal clarity, and have lots of fun along the way!
Maximum of 12, Wednesdays (October 12,19, 26, November 2, 9, 16) Time 2:00-3:00 PM. In this class we will use clay to create, with nature inspiration! We will imprint plants and fossils in clay, make flowers and animals and even paint a landscape on a clay slab! Taught by Marsha Acerra from the Ithaca Youth Bureau
Maximum of 8, Thursdays (October 6, 13, 20, November 3, 10) TIME 2:00-3:30 PM. Learn how to safely navigate branches and build your climbing skills in this class that will be outdoors except in the worst of weather. Instructor: Mark Holton of Cornell Outdoor Rec. Maximum of 12, Fridays (October 7, 14, 28, November 4, 18, Dec 2, 9, 16) TIME 2:00-4:00 PM. Join your friends AT Primitive Pursuits as we explore the wilds and step off the beaten path! Together we'll work on making fires (without matches!), build rain-proof shelters and find wild sources of food. Each week will be a new adventure full of challenges & games to push your skills to the limit.

The Caroline After-School Enrichment Program provides a variety of classes, directly after school from 2pm-3pm, in 6 week sessions (unless otherwise specified). Classes are taught by parents, teachers and community members with training in and/or a passion for what they are leading. A fee is charged so that instructors can be paid for their work. This opportunity for students to learn new skills and have fun experiences is organized through the Caroline PTA and is open to all students. Financial Assistance is available. Enrichment classes are available to ALL students. Please see Janet in the office or call her at (607) 539-7155 to have an application form sent home. The scholarship application returned within 3 days of registering for your class.
