The California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA) is a one-of-a-kind program for teen artists. For 31 years, CSSSA has educated and empowered new generations of world-changing artists. This year, we are thrilled to celebrate the achievements of Adrian Molina (Class of '01 &'02). Adrian wrote and co-directed Pixar's Coco, which hits theaters in November and tells the story of Miguel, his love of music, and his journey through the colorful Land of the Dead to discover his family history. For 31 years, CSSSA has worked to bridge the opportunity divide for teen artists in California. Our outreach and diversity initiatives are rooted in the idea that diversity enhances arts and culture in every way, making it more intelligent, sensitive, challenging, and deeply beautiful. Join us for an inspirational evening at Pixar Animation Studios. Your evening will be filled with Mexican-inspired food, music, dance, and of course—Coco! Proceeds from the event will benefit The CSSSA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has worked side-by-side with CSSSA for 31 years supporting the Low-Income Scholarships that enable 40% of CSSSA students to attend the program. The CSSSA Foundation also provides students with College Scholarships, Guest Artist Instructors, High-Tech Equipment and Supplies, Diversity & Outreach Initiatives, and more.
