Setting up the Indoor Learning Environment

‘How can we organise our room so children can be active learners?’

The environment has been described as the ‘child’s second teacher’. 

How adults set up a learning environment has a big impact on how children learn.  In this workshop we will look at how to arrange the indoor learning environment to support children’s ‘active learning’.   We will consider the kinds of areas to offer and  we will look briefly at the types of materials to offer children and how to store and label these.
