With this year being our 25th anniversary as an organisation we are planning something a little different for Conference. The dates are 3rd & 4th October to be hosted in Manchester at Salford Lighthouse Church.  The format will be similar to previous years but on the evening of 3rd we will be having a celebration service thanking God for 25 years of sports chaplaincy and looking forward to the next 25 years.  The title of Conference will be A Game of Two Halves which expresses this idea but also emphasises the dual nature of our role in pastoral & spiritual support.  The conference will culminate with an event on 4th at the National Football Museum which we hope will garner a lot of interest and support from the wider sports world and media.  We have yet to set the price for Conference which will include breakfast and lunch.  However, to reduce the cost, accommodation will need to be arranged by individual chaplains, some chaplains may wish to stay with friends & chaplains in the area.

When booking rooms at the Whites Hotel. Delegates need to quote Bolton Wanderers Community Trust for a room for 2nd 3rd October. They are at the rate of £49 per night b&b for single and £59 for double.

We here at Sports Chaplaincy UK have a dream to see an expression of God’s love and compassion practically demonstrated in every community called Sport. Sports Chaplaincy UK have a big heart and a big vision to embrace the World of Sport knowing we are making a positive contribution and impact across each of our Home Nations.
