Starting June 16 through July 1, 2017, nightly guided walks (black-out dates do apply) to view the diverse and rare fireflies of the Allegheny National Forest.   Tickets go on sale May 1, 2017. Purchase tickets at least 24-hours in advance to reserve. Guides will lead groups of 10 to 25 along the Tionesta Creek to view "Chinese Lanterns" starting at 9 pm and into the Forest to view "Synchronous Fireflies" at 10 pm until 11 pm.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Pa Firefly Festival.  Walks range from .5 miles to 2 miles in length on forest paths in the dark. Handicapped access is available by appointment. Sturdy footwear and protective clothing including rain gear are recommended. Suggested items to bring: flashlight, walking stick/trek poles, bug spray and water.

The Pennsylvania Firefly Festival (PAFF) is a non-profit organization, 501(c)3 . PAFF is committed to promoting education and appreciation of the diverse species of fireflies inhabiting the local forest lands through an annual community festival. A portion of the proceeds will benefit PAFF.
