In spite of having given more than 500 acclaimed performances worldwide, and recorded five CDs and a DVD, the renowned Urmuli quintet has never performed in London. Until now.
On 12 May you are invited to join us at St. John's Church, to welcome Urmuli as they give their debut performance in London. You will be entranced by this group of Georgia's finest musicians and polyphonic singers as they perform both solo vocal pieces with instrumental accompaniment, and polyphonic songs. They will demonstrate as many as 30 different Georgian instruments, drawn from all parts of the country, some of which are found nowhere but Georgia.
Tickets for the event cost £15 and include a a complimentary glass of fine Georgian Saperavi wine, from our sponsors, Lagvinari Winery. Proceeds from the event will support the restoration of Tbilisi Zoo.
