College costs continue to rise - UC's now cost $30,000+ per year.

If you are concerned about college costs, Santa Cruz High will be hosting Steve Shapiro's "How Will You Pay for College" presentation.

Steve is a CPA and a Certified Financial Planner.   He speaks to parents at many local high schools each year.

You’ll learn:

1. Financial Aid Basics – who should file; how the system works; who gets the money
2. Strategies to reduce the cost - for low income families and high income families

This presentation is not just about financial aid.  Reducing the impact of college costs depends on planning ahead and doing your homework.  Even high-income families can reduce the impact.

Please mark your calendar and attend this informative meeting.   All grades are invited and students from all grades (and their parents) will benefit.    With recent changes in the financial aid process (prior-prior year), it’s more important than ever to begin early.    If you want to reduce college costs, take action … procrastination does not help.
