SCC Verizon Indy Car Series Event

Hello fellow race fans, it’s that time of year again. The Verizon Indy Car Series is returning to The Phoenix International Raceway (aka PIR) on April 7th. This is an official SCC CAN’T MISS Event and is open to the entire club.
Like last year the folks at PIR are making it a special event for us. They are offering VIP treatment and pricing for Scottsdale Corvette Club members. Last year we had about 25 folks attend, including yours truly. We had a great time!! We did the usual Corvette Caravan to the track and enjoyed VIP Corvette Coral Parking close to the event. Grandstand seating assures we have great seats and won't miss a moment of the excitement. Here are the details:
- Verizon Indy Car Series Phoenix Grand Prix
o Saturday, April 7, 2018
- Sectioned off Space in VIP Parking Area for Club
o Exact same program as last year’s Indy Car event. VIP Parking to provide space for all cars coming out from the club
- Car Corral Package
o Includes Two (2) grandstand admissions to the Verizon Indy Car Series Phoenix Grand Prix
o Includes One (1) Parking Pass into the Car Corral Area
- Price: Only $50 per package. Includes two admission tickets and VIP Parking.
If you went last year, I hope you will return this year. If you haven't been to an Indy Car event in a number of years or not at all this is your chance. The sheer speed and thrill from those high winding.
High horsepower engines are like nothing else I have experienced. This beats NASCAR in my mind because it is a pure driver’s event. This year Indy Car has changed a lot of the aerodynamics and handling characteristics to ensure an even more exciting time.
Unfortunately, if you are already signed up for the Basil & Garlic Ethnic Dinner also on April 7, you will not be able to attend this Indy Car Event since they overlap.
Wanna be a part of this awesome experience? Here is what you need to do. Sign up here ASAP and send a check to me for $50.00. Gonna have to trust me on this....make checks payable to me and I will pay the folks at PIR. They prefer not to have a bunch of individual checks so I will handle that and provide them with one. Deadline for me to receive your check is Friday March 30th. Mail it to my address below.
I will drive to the PIR on the 30th, meet with the PIR folks and obtain our tickets. The event is Saturday April 7th....more details to follow.
